Start with the service
Identify the fluid, working pressure, pressure peaks and fluid and ambient temperatures. Include any chemical concentration or unusual exposure. Hose size alone does not establish suitability.
Describe the installation
Provide overall length, the measurement convention, available bend space and movement. End thread or flange standards, sealing details and relative end orientation are needed to describe the connection. A clear photograph supports identification but may not establish dimensions.
Agree the finished product
The hose and coupling must be a compatible system with the correct assembly specification. Confirm protection, cleanliness, tags, inspection and documentation with the order. Use the applicable manufacturer guidance for final selection and installation.
