Size and Operating Conditions
Provide nominal hose inside diameter, fluid, operating temperature and pressure duty, including relevant peaks. A size or R-number alone does not establish the complete rating.
Application and Installation
Identify the machine or plant circuit, movement, routing space, bend requirements and external exposure. Separate suction, return, pressure and industrial-transfer duties.
Ends, Length and Quantity
Identify both sealing interfaces, finished length with measurement points, end orientation, protection and quantity. Add the delivery destination, required date and inspection documentation.
Questions Before You Enquire
Can I Replace R1 Hose with R2 Just Because It Has More Reinforcement?
Do not assume a substitution is suitable. Review the exact series, dimensions, pressure and temperature limits, flexibility, routing and compatible coupling system for the application.
Is Burst Pressure the Same As Working Pressure?
No. Use the manufacturer’s applicable working-pressure rating and service limits. Burst-pressure information must not be used as the normal operating-pressure rating.
Do Hose Selection Tools Replace an Engineering Review?
