Identify the seal, not just the thread.
Two fittings that appear similar can use different sealing principles and dimensions.
Discuss your requirement
Record both parts of the interface
Note the thread system, measured diameter and pitch, then identify the sealing seat or O-ring arrangement. Include male or female form, fixed or swivel construction and the required straight or angled geometry.
For a flange connection
Send the nominal size, pressure series, flange-head dimensions and any applicable standard. A face photograph alone may hide the details that distinguish one interface from another.
Provide evidence that can be checked
A drawing, clear dimensioned photographs or an approved sample can support identification. Label the two ends separately and show their relative angle. Final selection remains subject to technical review.
