Discuss thermal exposure and the required covered length. Size the sleeve for the hose OD and any fittings it must pass over; agree installation and end treatment. Temperature limits and fire certifications require the exact supplier document.
Plastic Spiral Guard — Black
A spiral guard can provide a sacrificial contact surface around a hose. Send hose OD, routing and coverage length. Confirm the offered size and installation clearance. Polymer, pitch and roll length are supplier-specific; black colour alone does not establish UV or heat performance.
Plastic Spiral Guard — Yellow
Use the hose OD to select the guard size and review clearance at clamps and moving sections. Yellow identifies the requested colour, not a different performance grade. Material, pitch and supply length are confirmed in the quotation.
Spring Guard
Specify hose OD, required guard ID, wire details, coverage and end clearance. Check movement and rubbing points; a spring guard does not correct poor routing or increase the hose pressure rating. One Spring Guard category covers enquiries until an actual supplier range is confirmed.
Loose or Fitted Supply
State whether protection is required loose or fitted to the hose assembly. Confirm the selected product’s installation method, covered length, inspection access and tag visibility. Availability of each configuration is established with the quotation.
